i ordered this dress late at night on a Tuesday (meaning the order didn't get processed until Wednesday) and the dress arrived by Saturday! i thought this was very quick as the dress is coming from California and i live in New York. when it got here it came in a very small box and i panicked that it would be wrinkled, however, i took it out and it poofed out and wasn't wrinkled at all!! the satin is very good quality, the dress fits true to the measurements they gave, and is very flattering! it even came with a small wrap! in all, i love this dress (got it in black, looks very classy) and if i had any other formal events i would get it again in another color. i can't wait to wear it tonight to my spring cotillion!

I bought this dress for my beach wedding and got a ton of compliments. I wanted chiffon material so the dress would be light weight and flowy in the ocean breeze. I searched for days in stores and online. In the stores this same dress was tripple the cost and with my wedding being on the beach I didn't want to spend $1000 on something I was going to A) only wear once and B) possibly ruin from the sand and sea. I must admit I was skeptical about buying a dress that I couldn't try on. For some reason, I went with this dress and couldn't have been more happy with my choice. I am curvy, not a stick figure, at 135 lbs 5'6 and my bust is a 34D. I ordered a Medium and the fit was great. The only thing I had altered was the length. The dress was really long but I would rather have too long than short. This was not a problem for me at all because the cost of the dress was so reasonable I didn't mind spending $30 to have it altered. With the length, keep in mind I went barefoot on the beach and did not wear heels. This dress is an empire waist so the dress is designed to sit high on your waist and I recommend getting a nude color bustier bra to help hold it up into place rather than it sliding down and you tugging at it all day. I sewed my bustier bra into my dress so that the dress would stay high up in its place. I actually had to take it out and sew it in a few times to get it right but come wedding day my dress stayed up and I didn't tug on it at all. I also wore a long nude slip under my dress because the dress is sheer and I was afraid with the right lighting people were going to see right throught it. I gave this dress 5 stars because the price was great, the dress was beautiful, the fit was great, and true to a medium size. The dress came very quick, just 4 days after I ordered it. I'm not sure if the details tell you this... but the dress comes with straps that hook into the dress so you can wear it strapless or as spaghetti straps. The dress also comes with a sheer shaw/wrap. I didn't use either but the dress does come with these items. The beading on the dress is smiple and beautiful. So, if your looking for a ton of beading and flashy this dress is not over the top glamorous. It's just simple and beautiful. Dress is pretty, very short, and had a unique combination of colors. However, this item runs VERY small!! I ordered 2 sizes larger than I wear and it still did not fit. The zipper was very cheap and kept getting stuck while zipping. The dress comes all folded up in a plastic bag, and even after three days of hanging it up, wrinkles and folds still did not come out. Would recommend if you are a size 10 or under, order the 14 or 16, or an XL... and make sure you have a steaming tool to get the wrinkles out! Beware of the zipper - may break while you are wearing it!

This product was beautiful once I put it on. The hubby loved it. I like dresses that have a bit more coverage in all the right areas, and I have to have floor length, so this was almost perfect. The only problem I had was the bust area. The neckline is much lower than what is pictured. It almost covered nothing, and I had a pretty forgiving bra on. I remedied this with a black satiny slip that gave me the coverage I needed. I don't know how anyone would wear his dress without some sort of additional coverage in that area. Once I had the slip on, the dress was gorgeous, I loved the train in the back, and the shoulder gave it just a touch to make it more than just a plain black dress.

The dress shipped in less than a week, and I had gotten a large just because the waist measurement was a little bit off.. well when the dress came ((i got the teal)) it was BEAUTIFUL. but it was also huge on me.. so we emailed PacificPlex and they were so helpful in walking us through the exchange process. I exchanged it for a medium in the lavender and it's on it's way right now. the fabric is thick and the skirt twirls BEAUTIFULLY. I felt like a princess when I put the dress on. Ever Pretty Elegant V-neck Long Chiffon Crystal Maxi Evening Dress 09016

I was looking for a new dress to wear to a wedding, and ordered three dresses by the English company Ever Pretty. I'm reviewing each of them, and some of my comments will be similar on the reviews.

First of all - it is CRUCIAL that you order according to the measurement chart the manufacturer includes on this page. It is one of the images available to view. I ordered this Ever Pretty Elegant V-neck Long Chiffon Crystal Maxi Evening Dress 09016 according to this chart, and the dress received fits nicely, with the caveat about the bodice. I'm still not sure what European size I fit, because the sewn-in label on the dress has a different size from the cardboard tag attached to the dress! That is, the sewn-in label says "USA 2XL, UK/AU 16". I normally wouldn't fit a 2XL, however, and the paper label appears more accurate, stating "US 14, AU/UK 16".

So I'm very glad I went by the chart (and measured myself beforehand to check), because this is a lovely dress.

The chiffon of the bodice and skirt is wonderfully light and swishy - this is a very romantic dress! I am almost 5'5", and I will have to take up the hem a little, as it's too long, even with heels. However, as I frequently have to take up hems, this isn't a star deduction for me.

The inner layer (lining) is a non-stretch knit. Both the lining and the chiffon are 100% polyester. The laundry label states "Dry cleaning possible. Hand Wash Cold". Going by my experience, carefully hand-washing in cold water, and hanging up to drip dry work perfectly for this dress.

The page description for this dress states that it includes two "diamantes" for the shoulders. These are two pins, carefully wrapped and in a baggie attached to the dress label. The pins are 2" long with sparkley rhinestones set in a knot pattern of gold-toned metal. In the photos on this page, you can see that they have the pins attached at the top of the shoulder. I really like that these pins are detachable (a sign of quality). I might want to wear silver jewelry with the dress, and appreciate that I'm not stuck with the gold.

The description doesn't state this, but this is a "plunge" neckline. If you are uncomfortable, you can always tack a triangle of lace at the bottom of the V, for a little more coverage. I will be wearing this lovely dress with breast petals. If you wear a bra and do not use a triangle for coverage, you may need to invest in one of the plunge-style bras.

Also, the bodice on this dress is short and higher-waisted than I thought it would be from the photos on this page. [Note, not all colors of the dress have the same number of views to look at. The red version, I think, gives you a great selection of photos to look at, and also shows the dress' detail well.] On my dress, I measured the fabric at 12", from the seam where the bodice is attached to the waistband, to the top of the shoulder. This may or may not work for you. If you are well-endowed, you may find this doesn't work, even if the rest of the dress fits.

This is a really very nice dress. I think it is exceptional quality for the money.

Well, I got this dress because of how beautiful it looked on the huge boobed super skinny model. Mistake. I'm a large so I got it but I wasn't completely sure on the size. Sadly, large was the biggest size. It was definately skin tight. It wasn't quite ruched the way it appeared either. It looked like it was made of better material but the material does feel great. Well, I went ahead and kept mine because I'm working on losing weight so maybe I can get into it better(it still fits, it's just a little uncomfortable). 50's Strapless Satin Formal Bridesmaid Prom Dress Holiday Gown

This is a great buy for several reasons. The fabric is of a quality grade satin and it's got a strong zipper, its an all around flattering line for different body shapes, and PacificPlex sends out your delivery in a wink! I ordered my red version on a Wednesday morning and recieved it that Saturday afternoon. I have one issue with this dress: even though I ordered it exactly to my personal measurements (42/34/42, a 2X), it was much too large on me. I would of course have a dress that is too big than too small, however it would be very nice not to have to worry about getting it altered at all, which is what I'm doing rather than sending in for a smaller size because I am an impatient woman and don't want to wait even PacificPlex's short delivery time again.

This dress is an excellent costume quality gown.
While this dress looks elegant..it photographs like a shiny nylon parachute.
Pros: Elegant design, shipped super fast, added bonus..a matching shawl and a real high quality satin sash, and the company is very professional about handling concerns about their products.
Cons: The dress is cheaply made (super cheap nylon taffeta material, no hook at the top of the bodice to secure the zipper), sized for a misses fit (not well suited for shorter people 5'4 and under), and the bodice has wire stays that stab you in the ribs when you sit.

I actually like this dress enough to add my own additional hooks and adjustments to make it last longer.
